  • Yes, all of our products are made with gluten.

  • Our doughnuts are not 100% organic, but we use many ingredients that are. We simply try to find the best ingredients, some of which are organic.

  • Yes, our doughnuts are not suitable for people with barley, coconut, corn, sesame, soy, or wheat allergies. People with a gluten sensitivity or intolerance should not consume our doughnuts. Nuts are used heavily in our facility, so cross contamination is likely to occur. Our doughnuts are not made with sesame, but we do use some ingredients that may be processed in the same facility as sesame.  We advise anyone with barley, coconut, corn, nuts, sesame, soy, or wheat allergies to avoid consumption of our products entirely.

  • We use King Arthur Baking flours, which contain wheat and barley flour.

  • We use canola oil to fry our doughnuts.

  • No, we do not.  All of our ingredients are natural.

  • Just like any fried food, day-old doughnuts are never very good. The longer doughnuts are held, the more they will deteriorate in quality. Since we do not use any preservatives or stabilizers in our doughnuts, they should be enjoyed as soon as they are purchased, preferably within 3 hours to maintain optimal freshness.

Filled doughnuts should be consumed as soon as possible as the fillings can spoil if you keep them for a prolonged period of time. Unfilled doughnuts can be eaten within 24 hours, but quality and texture will be compromised, so please order accordingly.

  • It’s best to consume your doughnuts the day they are purchased. We do not use any preservatives or stabilizers in our products, so the shelf life is very short.

Please consume unfilled doughnuts within 24 hours for best quality. Filled doughnuts should be consumed as soon as possible as the fillings can spoil if you keep them for a prolonged period of time.

You can refrigerate filled donuts, but this will cause the doughnuts to dry out and will reduce the quality. Always allow a refrigerated doughnut to come back to room temperature.

Unfilled doughnuts should be kept at room temperature in the box or bag they were packaged in, so they can ‘breathe.’ Plastic containers will lock in moisture; possibly resulting in runny icings and a soggy doughnut.

You can refresh a day-old doughnut by popping them in a microwave for 15-20 seconds or in a 350° toaster oven for about 1 minute or less (will slightly affect the icing and draw out the oil making it more greasy).

  • While we always recommend consuming our doughnuts as soon as they are purchased or within 3 hours, some guests have said they’ve frozen our doughnuts to prolong the shelf life.

If you do freeze your doughnuts, we recommend allowing them to thaw out at room temperature for several hours before consuming for the softest texture.

Please note, freezing negatively affects the icings, glazes and certain toppings.

  • Our doughnuts range from $4.00 to $6.00 depending on the flavor and type.

  • Our doughnuts are scratch-made in small batches from quality ingredients and require a considerable amount of labor to produce.

When we say everything is scratch-made from high quality ingredients, we mean everything. Our yeast-raised doughs, fillings (puddings, creams, curds, custards, etc.), toppings (puff pastry, cookie crumbs, cake crumbs, etc.) and icings are all made in-house from scratch using recipes we’ve developed over the past eight years.

We never use pre-made dough mixes, icings or fillings to make our doughnuts.

Unlike cake donuts that are more easily and quickly made from stiff cake batters, we handcraft brioche style yeast-raised doughnuts, which require lengthier and conventional bread making procedures that yield light and fluffy doughnuts with a slight chew. The dough for our doughnuts undergo a few proofing processes before we are able to fry them. One process is a 24-48 hour cold ferment for enhanced flavor development.

Simply our ingredient and labor costs are higher than the national doughnut chains we are often compared to. If you were to take a look at most artisan doughnut shops (vegan or not) across the country, you’ll notice a higher pricing structure with prices ranging from $3-$5 for doughnuts because they face the same reality. We’re not part of a large doughnut chain that has hundreds of locations and mass produces doughnuts from factory style machinery with the cheapest ingredients possible. As a very small business, we also don’t have access to the vast amount of resources and bulk discounts that doughnut chains with longstanding infrastructure do. Every single step of our doughnut making process is done by hand, from scratch, using quality ingredients.
